The day before the North Carolina State Fair opened in Raleigh the door was open to preview the midway for 2009. The rain and cold didn’t slow down workers putting the final touches on everything from rides to ensuring enough oil was on hand for frying pickles, candy bars, Oreos and even apple pie.
Even the State Fair and those who cover it are making use of mobile technologies for convenience and function. I hope you enjoy the show!

Hi, Charlie! I’m with you. 2008 is new and fresh and holds good things already for me. Thanks for your supportive words, and I look forward to celebrating this year with all the successes ahead for me and my friends.
Blognation was a sad and terrible event, but it’s over. Everyone knows that Scamming Sammy is a liar, and he did a better job than anyone else could have in his parting post of illustrating his difficulty with reality and truthiness.
Now on to better things and Happy 2008!

Oh, gosh.
And then there’s the Orchant connection to all this.
I hope I never cross paths with this Sethi.

Mojo,
Was thinking of you today and catching up on the blognation scam.
1) Good riddance, but he took down a lot of good people.
2) Reading previous posts, I was basically shocked.
3) Following a thread, I didn’t realize Sam was the same dude who pissed on Loïc in 2006. Hmm, I felt ambivalent as to Sam’s treatment back then, mostly because I didn’t have the full story. Now, adding this blognation thing, I think Sam’s basically written himself off. And thanks to Google, folks will quickly get a picture of the kind of scruples he has.
4) We really need to get someone to make sure Oliver doesn’t get screwed again.
Take care. 2007 is now over. Let’s be glad all the bad krap happened at once so we can all get on with out lives.
BTW, when I get embroiled with such folk, I feel so much better when walking away - I move on with my life, but that person will never be able to escape their petty skumminess.
Sigh.
Hugs to you and pooch.
Tchau,
Charlie
